Client Introduction
Whispers Media is a new venture that offers a collection of audio products that inspire women worldwide to relax, get sexy, share good times and express their sensuality in more inventive ways. Whispers Media was conceived to bring the traditional ‘erotica’ industry into the twenty-first century. The company’s founders were frustrated with the typical erotica on the market, and wanted to create something fun and different.
Whispers Media came to Amasci Creative Limited with a bespoke blog backend development requirement and the need to produce some ‘eye-catching’ flash banners for their launch campaigns. We were asked to get ‘under the bonnet’ of the Typepad system and create a set of active templates that would bring customisation and uniqueness to the two integrated blogs that Whispers Media were implementing on their forthcoming website.
Project Overview
Blog Redevelopment and Customisation
With a tight budget and an even tighter deadline we had to come up with a solution that was ascertainable and acceptable to Whispers Media whilst being achievable by Amasci Creative Limited. The initial stage of development was getting familiar with and understanding the template structure required for the Typepad system. Once this had been established we managed to take the branding and style developed for the main Whispers Media website and the two blogs called Hotwire and Pillow Talk and implement this branding.
Amasci created a set of templates for each blog which were able to represent and incorporate the existing branding themes and icons whilst maintaining the functionality and usability associated with blogs and familiarity with bloggers.
The templates were created using a mixture of Amasci HTML and CSS, Typepad variables, Typepad CSS and Typepad development code. The Typepade variables and code generates the dynamic content of the blog. By establishing what content was driven by which elements we were able to configure and style everything within the blog to completely conform to the established brand which was to the liking of Whispers Media.

Promotional Flash Banners
The second phase of the project was the creation of a set of online advertising banners built using Macromedia Flash. These banners had to convey the style of Whispers Media as well as enticing the target audience (predominantly female) to click the banner.
We worked closely with Whispers Media’s chosen design agency and, after initially presenting a range of ideas, we established a theme that would be carried throughout the banners. We then took this theme and designed the banners as flat files, whilst constructing a formula for how and what would be animated in flash.
Next we created the banners as separate flash files and, using Whispers Media content, the project came together nicely. All the banners are easily recognisable as being Whispers Media and this was the main objective to be achieved.
There were a total of 12 banners created in all – here are a few samples of the final products - click the link to see the banner:

The main objectives were as follows:
- Create Individual Template Sets for Typepad System
Develop two sets of individual templates that would work and function within the Typepad blog system. - Keep Exisitng Branding in Template and Page Design
The two template structures had to conform to the already established branding and style for Whispers Media, Hot Wire and Pillow Talk. - Maintain Familiar Functionality and Usability
The template structures had to maintain the functionality and usability associated with blogs and be familiar with bloggers. - Work to Tight Deadlines and Create Obtainable Budget Structure
Work to a restricted time and budget. Whereby Amasci created a budget structure for the project which was obtainable by both Whispers Media and Amasci Creative Limited. - Create Eyecatching Advertisment Flash Banners
Create a set of online advertising flash banners which entice and appeal to the target audience. - Invent Structure and Branding Consistent for all Banners
The flash banners had to be easily recognisable as being Whispers Media by maintaining a consistent theme throughout all the banners.
What the client said
"Amasci Creative Limited came to the rescue in an unprecendented fashion. The business launch date was coming close, and an unexpected turn of events with our previous web developer meant we were left high and dry. With a global, high branded internet audio business on the rocks, Amasci not only came in and delivered on time and in style, but having understood we were at the end of our pre-production stage and budgets were tight, they came in with a very accommodating price plan."
"We are now on the road with a flourishing business and our sincere gratitude goes to Amasci Creative Limited for their part in our growing success."
"The question is, would I recommend them? Yes, every time...."
