Case Study :: Marisel

Client Introduction

Marisel boasts being a complete online retailer for a digital age offering computer and a host of digital media. A new enterprise, Marisel came to Amasci for a full scope of branding including logo and website design and implementation of their already purchased eCommerce system.

Project Overview

Marisel came to Amasci with a very tight budget and we are pleased to announced that we worked very closely to their budget and requirements, successfully helping Marisel save their pennies whilst giving them complete satisfaction of full corporate branding and online eCommerce system (with website design).

After an initial meeting development of the branding and eCommerce system began. We created a concept for the branding and logo that Marisel would be able to adapt into their website and corporate stationary.

Once the branding had been agreed we made a start on the installation of the CubeCart eCommerce package onto Marisel's hosting account and then went about the challenge of testing the setup and administration panels using the old templates. We had to setup SSL to ensure secure purchasing and liaised with the hosting company to ensure all the necessary software was installed on the server to complete our installation.

We started the website design and kept to the branding we had already established. Due to the Cubecart system having fairly rigid structures and feature elements (such as the navigation, cart overview, newsletter signup's etc) we where somewhat limited in our design. However, we came up with a concept that minimalised the initial template removing all the unnecessary items and making the website much cleaner and corporate. Once the design had been approved we recreated all the templates and skins for the cubecart system. This required extensive CSS changes and various html changes to templates and feature elements.
