Riaflex is a family owned, UK based business, established by Kate Williams that is dedicated to improving the health of dogs, cats, and horses.
Riaflex offers a selection of powerful, supreme grade joint products formulated to provide the best possible joint care for your horse and dog. Now a very well established brand within the equine and canine circles, Riaflex offers the “Highest Spec, Exceptional Levels and Outstanding Customer Feedback”.
The Project Brief
As an existing client we had previously developed a professional website for Riaflex with a simple PayPal shopping experience. Due to the success of Riaflex, they had outgrown their existing solution and were looking to develop a more suitable website, backend eCommerce facility and establish the brand further.
Now a leader in the world of Canine and Equine supplements, Riaflex looked to us to design and develop a new logo and brand identity that would remain consistent across all their marketing literature and product packaging.
First we established a professional logo and brand for the company, this was the platform for all their new product packaging and printed literature that we would ultimately revise and design.
The second aspect of the project was the website. After an initial content review and consultation, we had a clear idea of what was required for the website. We created the website on an eCommerce platform for the shopping experience and elements and separate more suited CMS facility for the remainder of the website.
The aim of the design was to establish the new branding, but also to highlight the products as high-end goods and market leading products, which they are. To achieve this we used whitespace and sourced a professional product photographer to take photos of all the new branded/packaged products. We take careful consideration over the eCommerce mechanism for customers and how this would work with the refill products and make the shopping experience simple, effective and easy to use.
We developed a bespoke module for the eCommerce facility to handle the VAT and reporting on this. As some of the Riaflex products don’t contain VAT, it was a time consuming exercise for Kate to undergo VAT returns. We developed a custom reporting facility on all orders, so Kate can set a dat range and get a clear breakdown of the VAT and non VAT items. Saving Kate heaps of time!
The other aspect we were able to deliver a huge saving for Riaflex was on the credit/debit card fees. Having her existing site only integrated with PayPal, Riaflex were getting hit with large PayPal fees on a monthly basis. By switching the payment gateway over to Sagepay, we were able to save them hundreds of pounds per month.
The rest of the website was built on a separate CMS facility, to allow easy updates to the content, homepage offers and regular events and trade shows that they attend.
